Another week down at the MTC and I'm starting to feel "old." One of the benefits of being in the MTC so long is that you start to learn the tips and tricks of the MTC like how to sit in the front during devotionals.
Compared to last week nothing really happened. Last Wednesday we got another district in our zone so we aren't the youngest anymore. I don't think missionaries are just coming in to the MTC realize how excited all the old missionaries are for them. This is at least true for our zone. The new district kind of just sticks to themselves, but soon they will be mixed in with everyone else.
On Wednesday we had our first TRC, which was the only time we were able to teach last week. It was kind of nerve racking since it's just a different situation that what we are use to and we are teaching volunteers.
On the Fourth we had a special devotional. It kind of focused on religious freedom and how that allowed the gospel to start and go out to all the world. The branch president made a lot of really different points so I won't share it all. Then we went out to the parking lot and watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks. One Elder's grandma sent a bunch of glow sticks, so we all got to wear those while we watched the show. It was a great way to spend our last Independence Day for the next couple years.
On Sunday Elder Oaks' daughter came and spoke for the Sunday night devotional and she is a really accomplished violinist. She and her kids played some songs and they are basically the Von Trapp family.
Sorry this letter is so much shorter than last week! There just isn't a lot going on besides working on Russian and trying to prepare ourselves the best that we can to serve the people of Vladivostok.
I love you so much and I hope you all have a great week!
Love,
